Recently there has been a resurgence of interest in growing vegetables as homeowners search for a way to save on their food costs as well as enjoy tasty, healthy vegetables. Here at Arborcrest we have been growing and evaluating over 40 different vegetables and fruits annually for the past 20 years. Our vegetable garden was voted one of the top 6 in America by the viewers of The Victory Garden show (PBS), the longest running gardening show in the nation. We have tested over 400 different varieties of fruits and vegetables and maintain a list of the top rated highly recommended varieties that you might want to try in your own garden.

Covering approximately 4 acres, the display gardens act as a showcase for the best of over 4,000 varieties of trees, flowering shrubs, evergreens, bulbs, perennials, and annuals that have been tested at Arborcrest over the past 20 years. Because of the wide variety of plants growing in the gardens, there is always a harmony of color, texture and beauty during every season of the year.

The walking/hiking trails are the newest addition to the Arborcrest experience. Currently under construction, the trails tie in to the existing display gardens and pass through open wildflower meadows, hardwood forests, wetlands, and along creek sides. The trail features mostly deer resistant plantings including over 1,000 ferns.
