Schizophragma integrifolium "Denticulatum"
(Chinese Hydrangea Vine)

Chinese hydrangea vine is easily the most impressive vine grown at Arborcrest Gardens. Attaching itself by root-like holdfasts, it has climbed almost to the top of a huge black locust tree since being planted at the base of the tree 20 years ago. Then in June it puts on an amazing floral display when hundreds of white flowers almost completely cover the green foliage of the vine from the base of the locust tree to its very top. Every visitor that sees it wants to know what it is and where they can get one.

Sedum spurium "Fuldaglut"
At Arborcrest gardens we get a lot of questions about groundcovers--and rightfully so since they can not only be attractive but can reduce the amount of weeding and mulching required to keep your garden looking great. Ranking near the top of all the many groundcovers we grow is Sedum spurium "Fuldaglut" This is one great groundcover! It only grows 2-3 inches high but it spreads rapidly to completely cover the ground and weeds seem unable to get through it. It seems to do well in either full sun or light shade. You will find it along the path winding up to the gazebo (like all the plants we grow here at Arborcrest it is marked with a label).
